Overview

 

In business for over 40 years, Sunrise Medical Laboratories is a full service clinical laboratory servicing the New York City metropolitan area and its surrounding communities.​ Our service area covers Long Island, the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam Counties, and New Jersey.

 

This is a spilt week position, off on Sunday and one day during the week.  The hours are either 10:00am -6:30pm or 10:30am - 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and handles a large volume of calls from clients on a daily basis.
  • Answers physician requests or inquiries regarding verbal reporting of test results, supply orders, test verifications, name changes, billing adjustments and will calls.
  • Answers questions from patients regarding test preparation requirements.
  • Places stat calls providing critical results to physicians in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoots, follows up and resolves problem situations.

Accesses essential information in Laboratory Information System for test verifications and to provide answers to questions to physicians, patients and internal staff.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
  • Medical related training or experience in a  call center environment
